For the City Edition, yes. Up until Jan I consumed everything about Vinfast. When CE became known that was warning #1; when the winds began saying no more battery subscription that was warning number 2; final was no word (until recently) on the 'real' VF8 trip model coming to Calif.
Even without the Tesla Y going 20% less, I would have went with my backup choice. Vinfast is GREAT at marketing logistics, but really bad at everything else.

Nah I would say they aren't good at marketing. They could do better. The response given to the reporters were pretty bad imo. Ah well, we'll just wait and see what happens in the next few days.

I'm very happy things worked out for me. If I was still waiting for the 'true' VF8 to arrive, well I'd think I was nuts. The City Edition and the battery subscription going were it for me. Vinfast loss, Tesla gain.
Kinda still waiting on the Chevy Blazer EV to arrive.......maybe give the Tesla to my wife.......

My BIL said he's waiting for the Blazer or Equinox. Have they confirmed prices yet?

think just the prices they listed from the beginning '.....starting at'. And hopefully GM pays close attn to the prices of Tesla's at the time. GM could really eat into Tesla's market share....maybe....

They do look nice. The wife was asking for a Mach E again after we left the Volvo dealership today. A wouldn't mind the Chevy if the price is right. Regarding the other options..I still really want to drive the Vinfast on public roads so I can at least say I've done it. The bad reviews are really making me want to drive them and see how it really handles. Does that make sense?

Well if people in San Diego that can be arranged. I have an ECO City Edition lol. Nothing much changes between the to but range and certain features from eco to plus

Edit: I am no car junky who has a craving for speed and right turns. Toe the ride is smooth, acceleration is good enough for me. Not as good as Tesla but I do not care. I do wish their 1 pedal driving was better. It does slow down but it mostly coasting. Map is by HERE. Needs some work. You have to pull hood release like 2 or 3 time to get the latch to completely release to get into frunk. The ADAS is real sensitive right now but hopefully changes in update. If you turn chimes off you will get the warning lights and messages.

Rotors making noises around the car right now I need to call them to check the status on that ticket as they had to order parts.
