VinFast IPO: Vietnamese EV maker files to go public in the U.S. (cnbc.com)

Looks like they need money urgently, otherwise makes no sense to IPO in a recessionary environment.

gotta fund that new factory somehow, right? PLus, they already delayed it. And we are not in a recession just yet. Full employment etc. Seems a logical thing to do. The billionaire wants some of his money back.....

I wonder what the stock price is going to open at when they do go public. It's definitely not cheap bringing a new EV lineup to market. Even for a company as established as VinFast is overseas.
