Overall, I was impressed. At the LA Auto Show, I had my doubts because they wouldn't even let us touch the cars. But this time, we sat in it and got the ride along. Materials felt nice and quality was good. And for very early software, it seemed pretty good, too.

Great video @patrick.anderson! Thanks for sharing and welcome to the forum. How would you say the VF8 compares to other EVs you've had the chance to drive/ride in? like the Mach-E for example.

It was too short to do a fair comparison to the Mach-E (and I own one). But compared to other cars at the auto show that I rode it, it ranks near the top. It was just as good or better than the Ariya and definitely better than the INDI ONE. It didn't feel cheap, that's for sure. And the interior feels like a car -- it has a good combo of screen and buttons. It felt solid, too. The ride itself was smooth & quick but we were on a small tack indoors.

Did you get a chance to check the VF9? Was it closed or were you allowed to open the doors, etc?

Given that you currently have a Mach-E already, are you leaning towards VF-8 or 9?

I thought you may enjoy this short clip. The VF8 had been seen and driven but the VF9 is like the Loch Ness Monster, ie little to no news/pics on its progress. And yet Vinfast continues to maintain that it will deliver VF9 with smaller battery end of this year and the larger battery in 2023 (same as VF8). Well I just saw this short clip of someone seeing a covered up VF9 test mule being carted in Hanoi or thereabout. I am not in the industry so I don't know the business practice of 1) applying camouflage wrap around the test mule at the mfg plant then shipped to the test site, which implies the one being seen in the clip is being shipped somewhere for testing OR 2) apply the camouflage wrap at the test site which imply the one being seen in the clip is being brought back to VN for analysis.

I didn't order the VF9 but figured those that are curious will find this interesting.
