Lolll imagine they choose not to extend the time you can use it until 2024.. also, it would be nice for them to update the general public rather than make us call/visit and ask...maybe they like talking to us on the phone?

Also, I'm assuming that's US-specific?

Did the say anything about the VF8? Or just the VF9? If they're saying that about the VF9 I imagine 2024 is when deliveries really get going.

I was at one of the Showrooms on Monday here in San Diego. The representative said they are not expecting the real VF8 version until Spring (April). They are waiting on the VF8 for test drive but did say they are slated to get some of the C.E. versions for the Showroom and for Test Drive. Right now they have the Vietnam Spec'd version in the Showroom.

He said from all he knows the Subscription will still be happening its just taking longer on the Financial institutions with the negotiations on the Liability aspect of the Batteries as they do not come with the car if you choose to do the Battery Subscription. But from all he said VinGroup is still planning on doing the Battery Subscriptions for the Early Reservation Holders.

Welcome to the forum @sanren, did they at least say what their initial allocations will be like? Curious how many are showing up in the first batch.

Posted in Facebook group. The last sentence mentioned expected deliveries for Canada:

"As scheduled, the first batches of VF8 vehicle will be handed over to Canadian customers from the second quarter of 2023, before the delivery of VF9. The two newest models, VF7 and VF6, are expected to be available in the Canadian market within late 2023 and early 2024."

I assume you guys will get them before us based on how things are currently playing out.

When I booked vf9, it was 55k and battery subscription. Current price is 83k. Will the price be honored if and when they do the delivery

I emailed vinfast over the weekend regarding honoring the prices based on when we reserved and they replied with:

"Please note, special consideration is being given to customers who have made reservations prior to September 1st. The final pricing details have not yet been defined at this time, however we will communicate all details prior to order confirmation."

So I'm going with yes. They would be stopped not to honor them, unless the promotions they are planning end up being way better than those prices. The truth is however, nobody knows.
