Hello all here is what I think of the VF8 so far.
I leased the VF8 City Edition (Eco) last Thursday. Here are my thought so far. Grant it I have only driving it 112 miles since I have had it.
Trade In Vehicle was a 2020 Subaru Outback 24k miles and $21k was owned on the loan. They gave me $24k for the trade in which is another reason why I took the lease. They gave me a good deal on my trade as other places were only doing $19k or $21k for the OUtback.
The entire process of placing the order and getting the VIN so can work on the financing part took about a week to get the VIN. The entire process is done online on the Vinfast Website thru your account. With the lease you could try and create your own deal to get the payments you would like to have. Fill out the Trade In information, loan application and if you are ok with what is stated you can then submit the deal to Vinfast then someone in about 2 days will get back to you. It took about 4 days for the credit application to go thru but that might have been because I placed my order on a Saturday.
Vehicle (Jet Black w/Black Interior)
THe Black looks really nice and shiney my wife likes it but I am not a big fan of Black or White colors but those were the 2 free colors to choose from so we chose black and to have a different color car than what I normally get.
The interior is nice the seat are faux leather I do believe, the seats are a bit stiff but I am ok with that. You will get 2 key Fobs the orientation to our Fobs are a bit different it seems its a bit backwards lol. The top button is alarm, right is unlock, left is lock (use to it being the other way around lol), and the bottom is the trunk/liftgate. As for the frunk it is small but you can put some items in it. THeir is no latch to release it once it is unlocked. YOu open it just like you would a hood. However, instead of pulling the hood latch once to release the locking mechanism I have had to do it 2 or 3 time so I can lift it up pass the latch where it hooks in. You do have access to 12V battery easily in frunk and fuse box.
Drive
The drive is nice and and quiet I do not even here the low speed sounds all I hear is a low whirling of the motor. So not sure if the option for the Low Speed Warning is off by default or I just have not found it yet lol...... Drive is good the regen I think could be better but that is coming from test driving Tesla where it is really strong. The vehicle will not stop fully on its on at all which not a problem for me. The vehicle does have a little pep in it but not too severe but that is fine for me.
Infotainment Screen
The infotainment Screen is nice and with the HUD you really no need to look at the screen as the HUD will display all information needed in front of you. The navigation will show you charging stops if you making a long road trip it will guide you to charging stations probably all EA stations. Apple Car Play or AA will try to connect as soon as you get in car and turn it on. You can connect either by cable or Bluetooth, their is a wireless charge in the car for the phone that can charge wirelessly. It does not have AM radio so if you listen to AM radio you will need to use some other alternative. It did not have satelite radio either. It comes with FM, TuneIn, and IHeartRadio app.
Range
My vehicle had 10 miles when picked up and one I test drove have .01 miles on it and was at 245.5 miles at 96% SOC so you may get about 220 miles or close to that. Not sure about the efficiency as of yet.
I will put pics once I take some of the vehicle later.
