Starting Price is now $1,500 higher.
That little ( * ) can get nasty, but all automakers are doing it.

Yep that aesteric is a nasty thing. $15k for buying batteries lol. If spend that much why not get a tesla with FSD lol
Battery tech is going to eventually be way cooler…I don’t mind the battery lease and savings up-front. The VF8 is old platform tech at this point.

The VF7 would be fun to have in a few more years!

wonder what the plus trim with bigger battery is now. The web site doesn't have those numbers. Only web articles from before listed them. Certainly not seeing the communication from vinfast we should. Specially those who are 'vinfirst pioneers'. Nada.

kinda the entire designed is ICE based, which is very odd. If they were aiming at Tesla, they missed. Still, I have an order and will stick with it due to the price.

Yes, I scratched my head about this too - it’s really odd that they give new prices for the Eco versions but not for the plus versions.

And nothing about pricing of the different battery packs as well.

At the beginning there was only a $500 (VF9) / $300 (VF8) difference between the two battery packs which I found odd as well - who would choose the smaller battery pack when it’s only a few hundred $ less than the bigger one? I guess this price gap between the two packs will be a lot bigger when they announce prices for the larger pack…

VF may not become competitive until they are fully up-and-running production at their NC vehicle and batter plant. I suspect they will deal with converted California orders first, and forget about the rest of us...for now.
Heard back from my sales adisor at a showroom: if one had a reservation (or order) prior to 9/1 the hikes for the models and the monthly subscription do not apply. Yay?

That is good news! Thankful you have a sales advisor to contact directly.

only because I live in SF Bay Area where there are several showrooms in driving distance. Still haven't heard back from vinfast itself just yet. Hoping Tuesday they reply. A salesperson will say anything.....

Including the flexible plan? Or no news for that?

I’ve wrote them a message and asked about that because we would’ve opted for the flexible plan (we exceed the 310 mi limit in general only in vacation months). Will let you know when I have an answer.

heard back from vinfast today and they said 'price' remains the same. Whether that is unit price or subscription is an open question. My salesroom advisor said both would remain the 'old' price. Hum.
