Welcome to the forum @camaroz1985! Which VinFast model did you order? This is the first EV SUV that my wife has actually liked from a looks standpoint. I know that looks aren't everything and there are still many unknowns, but I put in a reservation just to be sure that if we do decide to for it, we won't be waiting too many years. Seems like cheap insurance (and refundable) to not have to wait too long. Also nice that the NFT voucher actually gives some value to pre-orders.
We have a preorder for the VF9.Welcome to the forum @camaroz1985! Which VinFast model did you order?
Add it to the VinFast VF 8 & VF 9 Reservation Tracking List
Do you/your wife have active reservations for any other new EVs?
She sounds like my wife. I placed a reservation for the VF9 for the same reason. The battery lease, and the brand not surviving in the US are my biggest worries so there needs to be a major price difference over a 7-10 year ownership period to consider it. I have a Rivian R1S reservation as well, likely to replace my model 3. We want to see what the production Kia EV9, Ioniq 7, and VW ID8 look like for my wife. This is the first EV SUV that my wife has actually liked from a looks standpoint. We might be married to the same person then. Those are all on our list too. The brand here is the biggest worry to me. I assume that is why they are trying to sweeten the reservation so much, with the discount and other perks rather than just a place in line. The battery lease is interesting and could be a pro instead of a con like people seem to originally think. A lot of that depends on the pricINT.She sounds like my wife. Yup, same person. We’re first half 2023 for an explore R1S.I offered to give my Rivian reservation to her for the R1S, but she doesn’t like the looks for her.
