I just got this email about a test drive event. My rep was saying they were getting a Grey VF8 Production Model for the Showroom which is probably what they will be using for the Test Drive event around SnapDragon Stadium.

I will try to go to the San Diego event.

Also the community opens on the 10th of December.

The timing is the worst. Will be in LA for the bay area session and in the bay area during the LA session. Going to end up missing both.

In a parking lot like Toronto or under real life conditions on the streets…?
My guess since the San Diego one is at SDSU Stadium it will be a course coned out to get the handling and some spots to probably get the acceleration possibly.

SnapDragon Stadium will more than likely be on the parking lot around the stadium
In a parking lot
For the San Mateo location it is a fair grounds; how much space they will have is an open question.
Really big question is production units or still pre-production. I'm still going either way.....
They will continue to say pre production but I do believe these are the production intent vehicles. It is too late in the game to keep using prototypes. I think they have to label them pre production as they haven't gotten all the approvals yet or just haven't released that info just yet. But I do believe these Test Drives will be in the production demo cars.

Thanks so much! Any update on how to register? I’d like to go to the Long Beach event. I hope they have a track set up so we can do an autocross style course to get a feel for handling 🤩

I can help with that. I will be at the event next three days. Send me an email with your info to lock in a spot. There's some spots available for Friday in Long Beach if you would like. [email protected]

There will be 999 VF-8 for 1st batch of cars. Already offloaded personal ship from Vietnam awaiting approval. Aftersales and delivery expected approximately sometime by end of December.

We are aware. However, these will be all City Edition. Those who wanted the battery lease will not be interested. Not sure many will since nothing is known about that trim. It was invented and not communicated. Never a good sign.
Well I just did my test drive. It was 2 loops to do acceleration, saloon, and suspension. It takes off similar to Tesla. One pedal driving was on Regen was not super strong like Tesla but it was on never had to use brakes. They said suspension is based off the BMW X3 or X1. Charging speed they said not official but will charge up to 150 and they were charging yesterday for 3 hours at 80 to 90kw mostly. So not super fast but probably good enough. They also said the City edition is exactly what it states for people eager to get vehicles but do not drive a lot. They can not customize car if getting City edition. You will get one from the lot that best matches what you wanted.

I think the City edition was to just say they delivered some before end of year. They did say showroom test drive are coming real soon for a more in depth drive. The HUD was on but I didn't even see it until I looked down. But at night it will be visible a lot easier.

exactly so. I can't see too many being 'eager' to buy unless they really hated the subscribe option. And even with the extra discount it is very costly for 180 maybe miles. Hard pass, I can wait. Waiting is actually better; no loan payment. :ROFLMAO:

Agree on the HUD: wasn't until my 2nd lap driving I even noticed it. Seems nice, tho I think I'd set to brightest level.

I will say excelleration wise I was kinda disappointed the wheels didn't break loose AND it was raining. Guess one has to turn off traction control.

what are the specs of the cars being offered for these drives? HP/range etc (city edition?)
They are late preproduction units. CE trim has not reached US just yet.
