Standard or extended range (battery)

Somewhere along the line I didn't pay attn that the bigger battery option won't deliver until 2023. I'm going with the VF8 plus; there's only about a 30 mile difference in the stated range between the 2.

For me this vehicle will be my commuter with about 25 or so miles driven daily. Longest drive, not very often, is maybe 150 miles.

I'm now torn between getting it sooner (by Dec) or waiting for the bigger battery.

Decisions, decisions.

As I remember they wrote more or less from the beginning that the extended range will be available not until 2023.

For us fortunately this is not an issue, because we definitely will go with the bigger battery and we also can wait as our current car is absolutely sufficient and has a bit less than 30k mi. Our next car will definitely be a BEV and it would be nice to have it asap but it’s not a must for now. Apart from that I would love to see some real world test drive videos on youtube from guys like Doug Demuro and maybe a few owner reviews about built quality and info if there are major teething problems.

oh, I"m sure I saw it, but it didn't really sink in when I was deciding. Waiting until 2023 won't be that bad. Current ride is great (and paid off) so the more months we go w/o a car pymt the better. BUT, thinking the standard battery will do fine for my commute. The 'plan' we have now is my Acura RDX will go to wife unit and her (gag me) prius will go to her sister. So our 'other' car will be an ICE with plenty of range and many many many gas stations.

Youtubers went gaga, those who went to Vietnam (paid for my vingroup) over the units, but nothing since. And those were all pre-production units. I'd really like to know performance on the production units......
