I did my reservation 3/30 and created an account a few weeks after. My reservation didn't display until today. So, I guess they are making progress? I'd think being either a vinfirst or vinpioneer they would communicate more with us. <sigh>

Good find. I can see my reservation too, though there aren't much details there besides the date. Hope they start reaching out to people soon.
Can confirm: My reservation on 3/31/2022 is now showing at vinfastauto.us

ALSO...make sure "MY PROFILE" is updated, and set your notifications appropriately.

Yep. Mine made on 4/1/22 is now visible today.....wonder when they'll ask for order details (model, color, etc) ????

so far just the model selected. I bumped my inside sales guy for an update and essentially received back 'no update'. Then I bounced one of the sales dealer at the Hillsdale location on test drives; same deal no info yet.
Both of our reservations are visible. But for whatever reason both reservations are displayed in the same account (we created two accounts and made a reservation for each of them). Only thing I can imagine right now that there is maybe a mixup because of the same physical delivery address?

I suggest you contact Vinfast US Support at [email protected] and ask them to clarify what's happened or fix the problem...if you really want to keep both accounts long term you should make that clear to them. This probably resulted from their recent database maintenance. Good Luck. They unusually respond to emails within 48 hours.

I recommend using the chat or even just calling them for faster response. They are pretty quick in dealing with things.

Is there a login selection somewhere on the main website? I can't find where to login.
Yeah the website isn't the best. Try making a reservation and it will ask you for a login. You can then cancel and click on the "Hi <name>" link on the top to see your reservations.

Also, I don't see my older reservation any more. I have no idea what is going on with their servers.

Reserve your VinFast EV now.

after loading the website for the above link click on the menu symbol on the upper right and then you should get a “Register” Button on the lower right for creating an account.

just checked mine; it is still displaying in all it's lack of info besides model.......
Vinfast announced they will offer battery-included as a purchase option now. Vinfast website indicates VF8 would be approx $15K higher if you were to buy the battery-included option. That $15K amortized over 8 year period equates to about $156 per month, similar to the monthly subscription cost of $169 per month for unlimited mileage. Everybody is different but I wouldn't mind keeping that $15K earning interest/return over 8 year period, all the while knowing if I have any issues with the battery, the repair would be covered. I'm not into monthly payment but $15K is something I can use.

I wonder if that number will be the same for the V8 PLUS model..... I tend to only keep vehicles for 7 years, so this is perfect. I prefer the lower price.

I think the battery price will stay the same no matter the trim on VF8 models. I saw this was like yeah Leasing it is I do not have extra $15k to throw at the vehicle. I prefer to lease anyways as I will not have to worry about Fast charging all the time now cause If I destroy the batteries oh well I am covered.

Well technically you are covered anyways by the 10yr Warranty but if they due change battery cells at least if we are leasing we can get the upgraded battery packs for free as it is the companies responsibility to keep them updated.

Edit:

The one thing I am still waiting on is the true EPA numbers and actual charging time and speed. WLTP is the EU standard which is not as strict as the EPA standards and WLTP numbers are always higher than what the EPA are. So this will be interesting to see what the actual EPA numbers are when they get listed or posted.

Also for the Charging speed that is slow but curious if they just being conservative to preserve battery pack right now. Also would like to see what the Charging curve is like. I want to see what the max charge rate for the vehicle is, how long it can hold it and so on.

Right now I am still deciding between a few cars right now on which one to get and since I have a few years to decide all this information will come out eventually.

Remember they start deliveries ain the 4Q so their should be more hands on in next couple months with production models soon.

amen. AND if the performance numbers hold on as they are shown on the web site. The youtubers who went to Vietnam were unable to duplicate on pre-production units.

Level 2 charging I'm not concerned with. As long as I can recover enough miles in 6 hours (think after midnight charging) I'll be good.

they have said they might begin deliveries 4th quarter, but that would mean the order system has to come up very very very soon.......

I’ve read statistics that EPA provides lower range numbers than WLTP
for most cars, but I didn’t found an explanation for why this is.

Therefore: in which regards is EPA stricter than WLTP?
I talked to the Vinfast sales staff in So Cal (Citadel showroom) and they said the test drive cars should be available mid Fall. They said that's when they will reach out to the Early Adopters to come in and spec out our reserved cars. Interesting thing is that the slightly lower capacity battery versions will be delivered end of 2022 (Nov or Dec) and the larger battery versions are coming in early 2023. In VN, they have officially said the Vietnamese Early Adopters will get their VF8 1 month early, at end of September instead of early November as originally promised. I'm hoping that this mean they will have test cars for the CA and European showrooms by end of Sep. All of the existing showcars are pre-production models with not all of the voice control integrated and can't be driven anyway.

that kinda sucks as I was going for the larger battery, but I guess longer wait is better in my case. Still, want a test drive in a production unit sooner vs later.......Saying 'fall' (which matches what San Mateo dealership said) is a bit too vague for me.
