The TL;DR is:

"Through January 31st, the 2023 VinFast VF8 features a $3,000 lease cash incentive when choosing the 179-mile City Edition. Both the Eco and Plus trims are eligible for the same deal, though a VinFast representative did confirm for us that the deal is limited to California and only when leasing rather than buying."

Slightly cheaper than a Tesla Lease but not by much and still has a lower range..

I put new in quotes BC apparently it's also something that was announced a while back. Will it get people to buy them in California? Perhaps, but probably not as many as they think. Also, this is going to piss people off even more.

Side note: someone on the Vinfast official forum said they called Vinfast today and was told that the battery lease will still be available for the VF8 but not the VF9. Oooof.

That's the same deal they have had. Even from the beginning you would get 3k off price of car. So where is the new terms. Unless they doing 6k off now which I doubt. Oh also heard once the range update comes out it will have a little over 200mi range which for me still not enough.

idk; if all other remained the same and the subscription I might have done it. Range is not that big of a deal, although I got the Tesla Y long range with 330 stated. My commute is barely 25 miles a day.....
Just not sure I could trust Vinfast at all. Talk about bad decisions......

So nothing new. I hope there's something else in the pipeline ( that applies to the rest of the US and Canada lol). I've started looking at other options and the wife is slowly losing interest in the vinfast hype lol

Lmao I didn't want to admit that but yeah it looks decent. I can't wait to see the VF8 Plus pricing tho. I didn't ask for a City Edition lol

Edit: I should say, it looks decent considering the situation. But given the range it's still kinda low.. that's what we should be paying for a regular vf8. If it was for the plus I'd sign right away lol

Yeah I am waiting til the full version comes out. I have heard different things that only Pioneer get the battery subscription. But it has been said that if you put a reservation in before a certain time you will still get battery subscription. Well the Store REP says that we should start seeing the normal VF8s around April is what they are saying will be the earliest that the full version will be available.

Lol honestly I don't think anyone outside of the executives know what's going on. Everyone has been hearing different things but hoping for the best. If I can switch my VF8 subscription to a VF7 I might consider that.
