This is part of a series about minor and major things which I like and things which in don’t like about
Vinfast in general and about the VF9 in particular.
I start with something minor which in my opinion could be an issue with some charging stations when on
a road trip (it most likely isn’t an issue for at home charging).
In my opinion the placement of the charging port (and the direction in which the flap/cover opens)
are unfavorable and not thought through...
Why? Especially the FV9 has a really long hood and what I see about
the cable lengths from charging stations (especially Tesla charging stations)
is that the cables are not very long and the majority of existing charging
stations will serve you from the front/back instead from the side like gasoline stations.
Furthermore you have to plugin the cable straight - you can’t angle
it like at a gasoline station. I think a solution a la Rivian would have been better!?
