It's a funny video but if it were me in that situation I'd be pissed af.. however I'm going to chalk it up as being software version 1 glitches".
Watching this one now. I hope they're taking notice of what's going on with his car. It looks like he's got some clout online and could make Vinfast look pretty bad. In his defense the problems would make anyone bitter.and another problem:
UUMMM the City versions have landed here in California, And pioneers can get those versions if they choose. However, if the City versions are the same as the ones that are in the San Diego store then it is basically the Vietnam spec vehicle but spec'd to be USA criteria. Which probably why it only has an estimated Range of 180 miles instead of the 240 miles or whatever it was suppose to be. If you go to the stores you will see that the Vietnam spec'd vehicle is a bit smaller than all the proto-types that were in the stores previously. The ones that were in the Stores before were as tall as the VF9 but shorter. When I first saw the new one in the store I actually thought they had the VF7 in the store so I had to look and they said it was the Vietnam Spec VF8.Thank god they're driving and selling them over there so they can work out the bugs. Have the updates ready for when they land in California lol. He's right when he says that people in NA wouldn't stand for their car failing while out and about.
the ship might have arrived, but I think they haven't cleared port and/or been delivered. Not exactly sure they will get many takers since this trim is not on their website and nobody knows much about the details. They are certainly pushing hard for the vinfirst pioneers to buy 'em: 2 phone calls, 2 emails. Plus, since the battery subscription is not available, this makes it a very expensive vehicle with under 200 mile range. Again, don't think too many takers.Oh wow! I didn't realize they have landed already.
I still think there is more to this. A trim not on the website; in fact one can't really find any details. My first thought they just wanted to 'meet' the December timeline they kept pushing. Production wise I don't think they were ready for the final US version and settled on the first 999 being really for test drives @ the showrooms vs actually being sold. And pioneers can get those versions if they choose. So, we wait for the next batch, which they say will be qt 1 or 2. Yikes.
What??? Are you sure? They produce different sized versions of the same model? Different trims per country is not uncommon but different dimensions would be pure madness! Did they have the same wheel sizes? Because one with 20” and one with 21” could make a bit of a difference regarding height…UUMMM the City versions have landed here in California, And pioneers can get those versions if they choose. oh I agree. But it is entertaining. I think he exaggerates 'fake outrage' his and the supposed responders to his videos. Unless all the 'attacks' were his Vietnamese language version.I dont like the personality of this guy
agreed. What other differences beyond the battery pack. And why no battery subscription? At this point I think most were for showroom test drive sign ups. I doubt they will sell many of the 999. Or they will all go to the company that bought a bunch to subscribe out to users.vinfast should tell the buyers all the specs of th vf8 city
