That article is misleading as for vinfastauto.us it does not say that. That is for vinfastauto.ca (Canada). Plus that is not the price for the VF8 with battery ours is starting at $59k.

On the US page is says "Vinfast Battery Subscription Program - For Future Availability", same on the Canadian page.

Regarding the price, I wouldn't look too much into that, as I'm sure it'll change before they start actually taking orders.

well, the last straw for me was Tesla dropping the price of the Y. Had not happened THIS would have been the final straw. No sub, no purchase. The vehicles are simply priced too high with too little range and really don't provide a compelling reason to take a risk on a startup. Oh well; thank you Musk.
